What the tools never collect

Stackblip's five tools — the JWT decoder, cron builder, hash generator, HTTP status lookup, and commit generator — are built as purely client-side applications. They are plain JavaScript that your browser downloads once and executes locally.

This means, in concrete terms:

• Any token, text, file, or expression you enter is processed in your browser's memory only and is gone when you close the tab.
• Nothing you enter is ever sent to our server, or to any third party. There is no API behind the tools — there is nothing to send to.
• The tools set no cookies, use no fingerprinting, and load no analytics or advertising scripts.
• There are no user accounts on this site, so there is no profile data to hold.

You can verify all of this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use any tool on this site. You will see zero requests carrying your input.

What may be logged automatically

Like virtually every website on the internet, our hosting provider records standard technical logs when you visit any page. These may include your IP address, browser type and version, the page you viewed, the referring page, and the date and time of the visit.

These logs exist for the ordinary operation of a web server — security, abuse prevention, and reliability — and are processed on the basis of legitimate interest. They contain nothing you typed into any tool, because that information never reaches the server in the first place.

Cookies & future advertising

The tools themselves set no cookies. In the future, this site may display a small number of unobtrusive advertisements served by Google AdSense to cover hosting costs. When that happens:

• Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, and to limit how often you see the same one.
• How Google uses data from sites that show its ads is described in its own policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
• You can review and adjust ad personalization at any time via Google's Ad Settings.
• Where the law requires consent before such cookies are set (for example, in the EU and UK), a consent choice will be presented before any advertising cookie is placed.
• An ads.txt file will be published at the site root listing authorized sellers, as the AdSense program requires.

This section will be updated with specifics before any advertising goes live.

Email & contact

If you write to [email protected] or use the contact page, your message and its contents are used solely to reply to you. Messages are kept only as long as the conversation requires and are never added to a mailing list, shared, or sold — there is no newsletter and there never will be.

How long data is kept

• Tool input: never retained — it never leaves your browser.
• Server logs: retained according to our hosting provider's standard policies, typically a matter of days to weeks, then deleted.
• Email: retained for the duration of the conversation and reasonable follow-up, then removed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the personal data that does exist (essentially: server logs and email). Under the GDPR these include the rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the rights to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — note that this site does not sell or share personal information at all.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy request". Because this site collects so little, most requests are straightforward to honor, and you will never be penalized for exercising a right.

Children's privacy

Stackblip is a developer reference site and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included — but if you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and it will be deleted promptly.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change with it, and material changes will be described here. The most significant upcoming change — the introduction of advertising cookies — is already previewed in the Cookies & future advertising section above.
